As the pandemic continues, it is time for another wave of responders to address the growing, absolutely vital needs in our communities for social connectivity, wellness, creative expression, and independent learning.

Our first residency week begins April 27 with Alexandria Symphony Orchestra Sympatico, featuring Pete Tashjian, Daniel Trahey, and special mindfulness guest Ari Urban.


What is it?

The “Collective Conservatory” is an online initiative to facilitate meaningful, active, and immersive music-making experiences for communities, inspired by the philosophy of nurturing and inspiring the whole person.  Experienced teaching artists work alongside volunteer professional musicians and other cultural ambassadors to curate dynamic offerings, addressing community needs for social connectivity, wellness, creative expression, and independent learning.


What do we offer?

Beginning in April 2020, the Collective Conservatory offers custom curated experiences ranging from 30-minute sessions to summer-long or semester-long workshops online. We aim to serve:

  • Community Music Programs 

  • Public and Private Schools 

  • Summer Music Programs 

  • Individuals

  • Existing summer camps

  • Community ensembles

  • Artist Training programs

Teaching Artist Curators

Our Teaching Artist Curators are a dynamic, experienced group of independent artists who have spent the last decade refining the Collective Composition model. During the Covid-19 outbreak, they have been experimenting and developing dynamic and engaging online techniques and curriculums, and are ready to serve communities worldwide.

Wellness Advisors

Wellness Advisors are an essential part of our curriculums, providing insight and knowledge to promote health and overall well-being for all persons involved.

Cultural Ambassadors

Cultural Ambassadors are volunteers with passion and knowledge to inform and support the work of the curators and communities by providing specialized content. These musicians, artists, authors, public speakers, visual artists, poets, social activists, and community leaders are carefully woven into the fabric of our offerings to build skill set, inspiration, and connectivity.
